The Mesón de la Merced Hotel & Suites is located in the heart of the city of Queretaro and at the same time in a quiet area where you can rest fully. It is a beautiful mansion that has a great history: it dates from the nineteenth century and served as a refuge for travelers, wartime hospital, monastery, stables and neighborhood, until it was restored at the end of the 20th century when it began its history as a hotel. The hotel has spacious rooms and a beautiful interior patio that correspond to the colonial style of the city center of Querétaro, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The suites at the Mesón de la Merced feature air conditioning, wi-fi, room service, cable TV, a seating area with a sofa and a traditional décor that reminds us of the ambience of Mexican haciendas. If you like the exercise you can visit our Gym equipped for your sports sessions.
Another of the attractions of our hotel is to have suites of three levels; on the ground floor you will find a small living room, on the second level a comfortable sofabed and finally on the third level the main room. All suites have balconies overlooking our large colonial courtyard.
We have a restaurant service where you can taste a wide variety of dishes typical from the Mexican gastronomy; In our Bar you will enjoy national and imported drinks; and as an extra service we offer La Cava where we serve personalized dinners ideal for a romantic evening or an elegant business dinner.
All attractions in the historic city center of Querétaro are within walking distance of the Mesón de la Merced. Within less than 700 meters you will find Zenea Garden, Plaza de Armas and 5 de Mayo Street, an area known for its variety of museums, theaters, cafés, bars and restaurants. The famous aqueduct is less than 15 minutes by foot. The city airport is located 30 minutes by car.
