This mid-18th century former inn offers unique rooms, free Wi-Fi, and excellent views of Rye. Built around 1750 for local sailors and ship builders, The Hope Anchor is thought to have once sheltered the Tenterden Gang, who used its old secret passages for smuggling. Relax beside the log fire in traditional cozy bar, and enjoy the individually styled bedrooms, some of which have a four poster bed. In the morning enjoy a delicious traditional full English breakfast or if you prefer a lighter continental breakfast of cold meats and cheeses, yogurt and fresh fruit salad or maybe even have both!! all served in our breakfast room. (Please note we do not serve lunches or evening meals) Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.4 for a two-person trip. We speak your language! The Hope Anchor has been welcoming Booking.com guests since 18 May 2010
Our double rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard and most face over fantastic views of the marshes, Camber Castle and the sea. Each room has its own charm, but all have still and sparkling water.
