About The St. Clair Inn

Built on stories from the past – like the one about Jimmy Hoffa and the North Tower or the one about the treasure chest at the bottom of the river just off the boardwalk – the St. Clair Inn is more than what you see. When the original Inn opened in 1926 it was born out of need and a partnership between St. Clair’s wealthiest residents and the local Rotary Club. It became a destination for the city’s residents and for vacationers hosting celebrities, secret parties at the height of Prohibition, and, once, 12 weddings in a single weekend. Every stay has a story. We look forward to adding your story to our history.

Fully renovated in 2019, the St. Clair Inn’s 106 guest rooms and three private cottages, with kitchen, patio, and stunning views of the St. Clair river, combine the best in modern comforts with the elegance of the past. Make your stay a story you’ll remember.
