About Big Country Hotel & Suites

Free hot breakfast, free internet and an outdoor pool win big with our guests at the non-smoking Wingate by Wyndham Abilene, which also offers quick freeway access. The three-floor Wingate has 66 rooms, all with coffee/tea makers, microwaves and mini-fridges. Coming to you in high-def: your favorite program on the flat-panel TV with premium cable. You also would be advised to bring your laptop to take advantage of the free Wi-Fi. Some suites have jetted tubs. Every morning, the Wingate rolls out a free hot breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, breads, muffins, pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea and juice. You can cool down and relax in the seasonal outdoor pool (with hot tub). The hotel also has a laundry facility, a sundries shop and onsite parking. The Wingate is off US 83-84, about three miles east of the eastern edge of Dyess Air Force Base. Downtown Abilene and its attractions such as Frontier Texas and the 12th Armored Division Memorial are six miles northeast. If you're driving from Abilene Regional Airport, the hotel is nine miles west.
